Every AFTERBURN shelf is cast to order, not pulled off a shelf.
Each piece is poured into the mould by hand, the steel spine and LED strip are fitted inside while the resin is still open, then the two halves are bonded, cured and finished. That process can't be rushed — resin cures on its own schedule, and a piece that comes out of the mould too early ends up with a weak spot you'd find out about the day it comes off your wall.
Please allow 10–15 business days for your shelf to be made before it ships. Once it's on the way, delivery usually takes 5–12 business days depending on where you are.
We also ship the jet packed separately in its own recess, so the most fragile part of the piece isn't rattling around next to the plume for two weeks. It bolts on in about a minute when it arrives.
I'd rather tell you this now than have you wonder where your order is. If you need something on your wall this week, this isn't the right product — buy something mass-produced and it'll be there Thursday. If you can wait a few weeks, you get a piece that was made because you ordered it, with a steel spine inside it and a light that runs the full length.
We only make what's ordered. No warehouse, no leftover stock, no corners.

Yes — the flame is the shelf. It holds keys, a watch, challenge coins, a glass, a phone. It's a working shelf, not a wall ornament.

Cast resin with a hand-finished matte coat, on a steel mounting plate. It's got real weight to it — it isn't hollow plastic.

It hangs on two screws — mounting hardware and a template are in the box. Takes about five minutes with a screwdriver and a level. Works on drywall, plaster or wood.

No. Switched off, the trail reads as a solid cream sculpted piece — it looks like an ordinary design object in daylight. The glow is a second mode, not the only thing holding it up.
